How Can You Help the CDC?The CDC is always looking for help from parents to create and provide the best possible services and resources to the BU students. Below you will find several ways that you can assist the CDC with ensuring the best quality services are offered to your student. Hire a Binghamton Student Share Your Expertise Participate in NYC Employer Visits Become an Alumni Career Network Volunteer As an Alumni Career Network Volunteer you control what information is shared with the requestor, as well as how and when you prefer to be contacted. You may select to speak with only students, only alumni or both. You may also inactivate your volunteer status at any time and reactivate it with the click of a button. As an Alumni Career Network Volunteer you may be contacted, via the contact method you prefer, by a student or fellow graduate seeking information about your profession. At the Career Development Center, we find students searching the Alumni Career Network in several ways. Some select by “major” to see what alumni with this major are now doing professionally. Other students select by “profession” to learn what positions alumni hold in a particular profession. In almost every case, students have expressed both surprise (at the number of alumni who are participating) and gratitude (for learning what alumni are doing professionally). To volunteer for the Alumni Career Network visit Binghamton University Alumni Association's Online Community to update your profile. While there, click on “Alumni Career Network Home” and sign up.
